Hello family and friends ,
Thank you for your emails. I love them.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I did have a wonderful Christmas myself, but I did miss my children and grandchildren. It was the first time that I had to be away and not celebrate with them. That is why I end up going to Lima to celebrate with my brother, my niece and wonderful friends. Also, uncle, aunt and several cousins. I have not spent Christmas with them for 44 years. I'm so blessed for that opportunity and I am so glad for the reward points. That's how I was able to fly to Lima.
While I was there, I was able to share my conversion with some of my cousins because I am the only member in my extended family. It was very emotional. Most of them asked me about my name tag, and why did I have to use it all the time. More sharing time, it was great.
We celebrated Christmas Eve. We ate at 10 PM and then we watched the nativity video from the church and it ended a couple of minutes before midnight. At midnight, my brother offered a beautiful prayer in Hebrew and made us repeat. It was kind of hard to understand him because there were so many fireworks, but we did it. And the meaning was awesome, thanking God for the blessings. After the hugs, my friend Irma and I went to see the fireworks, but this year there were not that many as other years, so we kind of miss them, but we did hear them a lot. We end up going to bed at 2:45 AM.
On the 25th, we took our time getting up and we had hot cocoa and paneton, it was so good. We kind of relaxed a little bit. I went to lunch with two of my cousins and their families and then later on I spent time with other two cousins.
I didn't sleep much because I had to get up at 4:15 AM so I could leave with my friend Irma. I was going to the airport and she was going to work.
I arrived in Piura at 11 AM. After leaving everything in my house and eating something, I went to the office.
On Friday, I did a lot at the office. I am finally making much more progress and I was able to finish with a lot of paperwork that we need for next week when we will have to go to get a passport for one of the elders that is going to Ecuador. Later three Missionaries are leaving for Mexico so we have to go to the airport.
Could you believe that somehow I was denied access to the Visa management program from the church again. I had to call Salt Lake City, apparently having to stop my service mission before my year was up had messed up all my logins for other programs. I hope it's fixed by Monday.
I wish you a happy and prosperous new year. May God bless you and your families in 2025.
I love you all!
Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

Pics: The one in the blue shirt is my brother. And one of my best friends is also in blue next to him. The other pictures are of cousins, aunt and uncle. Panetone and the last picture is the river in Piura that when it rains tropically it can overflow, I cannot imagine that and I hope it doesn't happen 😬🙏
The family is looking so good. WOW you got to see your brother and Ceci, she looks the exact same! 44 years, that's how old I am, almost 45! I am so glad you got to spend so much time with family and friends. That Christmas reminds me of the Christmases we used to have, 10pm and then wait until midnight. hahaha How fun to say a prayer in Hebrew, thats so cool. What a great opportunity to be able to share your testimony of Jesus Christ with them. You are such a great example to all of us. Happy New Year! Love you! P.S. Hope you get some sleep soon.
