Good evening family and friends:
As I told you last week, I did some laundry, I have a washer machine, but not a dryer, so I have to hang up all the clothes, one thing I didn't realize is that once it dries the cloth is so, so, so wrinkle, I will have to iron it. Not fun, I don't like to iron. I am still waiting on the iron board; I should have it by tomorrow.
Church was good on Sunday the Urquizos talked in sacrament meeting. They did very good. If they talked, that means that I will probably be asked also to talk 😬 at some point. Sacrament meeting ended 12 minutes late. I had forgotten that in here everyone greats you with a kiss or a hug, weather you know them or not. Even before they know your name. You just say hello and give a kiss and then are the introductions. Of course, in between sisters and with the brethren a shake of hands. In Relief Society they asked the new to introduce themselves. I did a very short introduction, especially compared to the other sisters, that told a lot about their lives and problems and finish with a testimony. So of course, due to several factors we finish church 15 minutes later. I hope I don't bring that back 😁
I finally starting to get better at my job. The problem I was having is that not only I have to be confident in using the church missionary program, but also the Secretary that we have now is one of the Elders and he is using another program called Notions, it is a very good program, but it is not Excel or Google Sheets. Excel and sheets are more friendly use programs and very similar to each other, so if you know one, you can use the other. It will be nice to learn this other program but there is not enough time to keep learning new things. I am still learning to use some Peruvian Immigration programs. Technology changes so fast.😬
The Elders and I met with 4 sister missionaries at Interpol, 2 of them had to request their Interpol documents, so they can obtain their carnet de extranjería. I also found out that for the Peruvian missionaries that have been called to serve in Mexico, there is no Mexican embassy in Peru, so they have to travel to La Paz, Bolivia to have the interview for the visa. There are 4 missionaries doing that, they are assigned to our mission while their Mexico visa is process. Lots of paper work to do.
President Van Alfen's birthday was on Tuesday, and we (9 of us) went to the Mission Home with a small lemon pie that he loves and a 3 leches cake. We sang happy birthday, he was happy. 2 sisters that just finished their interview were able to join us. It is amazing to see the hand of the Lord, one of the missionaries her home is where I used to live when I was single and the building is the next to the one, I used to live. And sister Urquizo was talking to the other missionary and she comes from the same Stake and they have mutual friends.
In the pictures Hermana Urquizo and me at Church. Then has to be food 😋, very small bananas called "platano de la isla" (banana from the island), this banana was the first food that babies starting to eat. I don't know if they still do that. It is very good and sweet. I used it for shakes. The next one is called Granadilla, it is sweet and juicy. I was able to find chocolate chips in the Dollar City store and I had to make chocolate chip and walnuts cookies. The last is my new setting of my office/living room.
I hope I can sleep soon today, because there is a gathering of women next door and I don't know how long they will stay, but of course it is loud, I can hear them, talking almost all at the same time and laughing.

The Lord is coming!, and specially we can say that this month, when we celebrate His birth, Jesus came as a baby to this world, to teach us, and to redeem us. Let's remember Him!
