Dear family and friends:
This week it was much easier compared to last week . I only had to take two missionaries to receive their Carnet de Extranjeria. I have been working more with couples this week. Printing their documents and getting all the paperwork needed for their marriage. I can't wait for the first couple to get married. We are working with like 10 couples. I do have to have patience with some of them, because I have to explain over and over what documents they need to request and where.
On Wednesday, two elders returned to Ecuador and finished their mission. And I was sad because when I left on Tuesday they had gone out and I couldn't say goodbye to them. They left at 6 am on Wednesday.
On Thursday, a group of sisters from the relief society got together, and we went to an ice cream place, El Chalan, but they also had other things like cakes. I couldn't help myself, and I ended up getting a chocolate truffle cake with a scoop of ice cream on top. It was very, very good. I couldn't believe that we were out at night. I left my house at 7:05 PM and I got back at 10:35 PM.
The place is 1.2 miles from where I live. The relief society president and I took the same taxi that another sister was finishing using to come and meet us. So we just went all together there. On the way back we ended up walking back. It was so nice because we were just walking and talking. It was not hot and it was not cold and there was a little warm breeze. Some of the sisters needed to get up at 5 am to go to work. But they still went and enjoyed the get together.
On Saturday the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra were in Lima-Peru. We were able to watch it on YouTube. They had a fabulous performance and invited other people to also sing. It was very emotional, and several times I had tears in my eyes. They were performing in Lima for Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, our Area.
